**About Us**

Built in 1919, the Sarjeant Gallery is one of New Zealand's oldest purpose-built galleries. In 2024 the Sarjeant Gallery will return to its newly strengthened, refurbished and extended facility at Pukenamu in Whanganui. With a stunning building, a unique collection of over 8000 items including artworks and archival material and a dynamic changing exhibition programme it's easy to understand why the gallery is recognised as one of the best regional galleries in New Zealand.

**About the role**

We have an opportunity for a detail-oriented and organised Administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Director, the Administrator will provide confidential, effective administrative and technical support to the Director, Gallery staff, Gallery Trust and committees associated with its operations.

This role would suit someone with strong team work skills who has a questioning mind and good attention to detail.

**About You**
- Personable and professional in your approach
- Significant administration experience
- Current, full NZ drivers licence
- Able to work collaboratively with your team and with customers
- Articulate, able to effectively communicate with colleagues and stakeholders
- Accurate and detailed
- IT savvy in MS Office suite and the use of a variety of systems
