Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Joining our Data and Digital team, you will drive a culture of connectedness and continuous improvement for systems and services responsible for, ensuring lifecycle management and development of roadmaps and availability management to meet service levels. You will ensure there is an ongoing collaborative partnership and meaningful engagement between Clinicians, Partners, Consumers, and Platforms to promote equitable outcomes.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Ensure there is a robust foundation that supports the scaling of innovation and digital transformation across the motu and that our digital tools ecosystem is interoperable, connecting new and existing systems.
- Ensure we have a technology roadmap and transformation plan which articulates our multi-year ambition, and that resource allocation and prioritisation and is based on clinical needs and roadmaps.
- Ensure that we are able to implement ambitious digital technologies and tools at pace while minimising technical debt.
- Work collaboratively through partnerships with clinicians (including primary care) and key specialisations and professions, creating a digital landscape that crosses Te Aka Whai Ora, primary and secondary care.
- Work closely with others across the sector to ensure technology and services are accessible and usable for at all levels of the system and across the motu whilst enabling equity for māori, pacific and disabled communities.

Additionally, as a member of the Data and Digital Leadership team, the Director ICT contributes to the overall Data & Digital strategy. The top priority is to work in partnership with colleagues in Te Aka Whai Ora and across Te Whatu Ora to effect delivery of priorities, ensuring the ICT Team contributes effectively to all aspects of Te Whatu Ora and Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action, a commitment to action on equity and making a difference.
As the transition to the new system is currently underway, organisational design and implementation work will be on-going. The Director Data Services will help implement the operating model for Data and Digital and lead their teams through the associated change processes.

- Significant proven experience leading high performing teams, performing core ICT functions across large and complex organisations
- Proven experience developing and delivering ICT roadmaps and managing associated financials
- A commitment to biculturalism and willingness to take a stand to get equitable outcomes for Māori
- Strong business acumen and well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts.
- Proven strategic thinking, commitment to ongoing continuing development, and a genuine interest in leadership
- Experience of working in a politically sensitive, and confidential/secure environment with access to sensitive information
- Proven experience in successfully developing and maintaining a structured approach to managing a wide range of stakeholder and professional relationships both internally and externally
- Excellent oral and written communication, with the ability to communicate to a variety of stakeholders and business units

Previous experience operating at an executive level of IT delivery within large public facing multi-faceted or complex environment with multiple consumer and political interests and expectations, ideally within the Health sector, would be beneficial.
