As an Allied Health Assistant (AHA) you will join our Physiotherapy team supporting care to clients presenting to Nelson Hospital. You will work under the supervision of Registered Physiotherapists to provide safe, efficient and effective AHA interventions.The role will also include effective management of resources and equipment.

This is a fixed term position working 56 hours a fortnight (0.7 FTE) for 12 months.

You will be a practical, well organised and physically fit person with life experience and excellent written and oral communication skills. You - ll have a friendly and welcoming manner with the ability to relate to a broad range of people of all ages. It will also be important that you can work under direction, be a cooperative team player who is supportive of your colleagues, and work in flexible, positive manner displaying an appropriate level of initiative.

A Home Carer Certificate, or equivalent, and/or experience within the health sector is preferred but is not essential as full training will be provided.
- Te Whatu Ora staff must have completed their primary course of two NZ approved COVID-19 vaccinations._

**Qualifications**

It - s essential that you have Year 11 - NCEA Level 1 English and Maths (or equivalent) and a current full driver - s licence.
