The purpose of this role is to support the Nelson Hospital inpatient Occupational Therapy Team, working across all areas including the Assessment Treatment and Rehabilitation ward, Surgical and Medical wards.
- Assisting Allied Health professionals to deliver rehabilitation programmes within the hospital setting
- Supporting discharge planning as delegated by the health professional
- Sourcing, delivering and set up of equipment to promote health, wellbeing and maintaining independence in preparation for discharge
- Other tasks delegated by health professionals

The full-time equivalent salary range for this position is $48,853 - $61,127 based on the PSA Allied Public Health and Technical MECA, dependent on skills and experience.

You will be equally comfortable working with older adults as you are with young people, and whānau. This is a diverse role and you will need the ability to think on your feet.

On the job training, supervision and support will be provided.
- Te Whatu Ora staff must have completed their primary course of two NZ approved COVID-19 vaccinations as they have direct contact with patients and members of the public._
