Auckland City, New Zealand HR South Full time

Boundaryline is New Zealand’s leading supplier of residential & commercial fencing systems, primarily supplying direct to trade installers throughout New Zealand. With its roots in Invercargill and with branches in Auckland and Christchurch, Boundaryline is a fast-moving, forward-thinking company with a vision to elevate fencing as an integral component of the communities we live in. Boundaryline has seen significant growth since being founded in 2009, through a persistent focus on market-leading customer-centric fencing solutions, with an innovative portfolio of brands backed up by exceptional service to the customer.

Boundaryline sits in a unique position as both a supply partner to the construction industry, and also a trusted advisor to the designers and developers. This has provided us with a broad view of the emerging trends and changes that are occurring, including the significant demand for housing densification and with it the opportunity to provide a new and innovative approach to the fencing of these properties which enhances and protects our communities.

Our Leadership Team is looking for additional expertise in Operations Leadership and we have a new position for an outstanding leader who will manage the operational side of the business, lead transformational change, and support our team members to be the best they can be every day.

**About the role**:
The National Operations Manager role has been newly created resulting from significant growth in the business, and the need for the next level of leadership to help the company achieve its three-year goals and beyond. As such, we are looking for a dynamic professional, an experienced leader with entrepreneurial drive, who possesses a can-do attitude, a willingness to work ‘with’ the people within the operations departments, and an insatiable drive to make things ‘better’ every day.

This is an Auckland based role, working alongside and reporting to our Managing Director. If you’ve previously worked in big businesses, our family-owned and run company with a strong values-based culture will be a refreshing change - a place where good ideas are implemented quickly, your efforts are valued, and your contribution makes a real difference.

Key responsibilities include:

- Setting and executing the vision and strategic direction for the operational side of the business as aligned to company goals and objectives.
- Inspiring and leading the operations teams to continually improve organisational health, a positive culture, and high-performance outcomes.
- Demonstrating a customer-first mindset, being responsible to consistently deliver on our promises and beyond the expectations of our customers; from both warehousing/logistics activities and our in-house manufacturing facilities.
- Setting budgets and being accountable for the financial outcomes.

**About you**:
You need to be an experienced leader of people and highly capable of taking full responsibility for the operational functions of the business, including overseeing day to day operational activities. You will be proficient at providing the internal and external customer with exceptional service, while optimising outputs, as you constantly improve the culture and operational environment.

**You will**:

- Have proven experience leading operations teams, with a strong focus on promoting positive customer service/experience.
- Be a strong collaborator with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Have proven experience in developing and running an organised, tidy, efficient, well-optimised workplace.
- Have a reasonable understanding of financial reporting and how to manage operational expenses to meet financial targets.
- Be highly organised, reputably tidy, and have a demonstrated ability to think strategically while not overlooking the details of daily operational activities.
- Possess a friendly, willing, and flexible approach to people and challenges in your role, and indeed to life itself.

**We offer**:

- A very supportive work environment with a reputable values-based culture that puts our people at the heart of everything we do.
- A family-owned business with proactive leadership, providing a stable work environment where your contribution is appreciated.
- Brand-new purpose-built premises in Auckland, with a professional interior fitout.
- A rewarding salary and bonus package.
- Company initiatives and team events.
- Professional development opportunities.

If this is the opportunity you’ve been searching for, please do submit your CV - we look forward to hearing from you

Applications close 27 January 2023.
