Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
This National role forms part of the Hospital and Specialist Services team, with a focus on Planned Care, this role has shared accountability to address the growing volumes of people waiting for planned care (elective services) through a public hospital. This involves a reset and restoration of planned care health services in a sustainable way to align with changes happening within the health system as part of the health and disability reforms. You will have responsibility in supporting the development of and leading engagement and delivery of the national strategy and direction around planned care services to the community across the motu. You will oversee a variety of tasks, such as engaging with project teams within the regions undertaking planned care, rectifying challenges and issues, monitoring progress, tracking KPIs and supporting the shared learnings across region planned care leads.
This remote working opportunity is a secondment/ fixed term for 12 months.
Mōu | About you
The Programme Manager will lead and manage priority programmes and projects across the Directorate, including providing leadership for quality improvement programmes and providing programme and project management expertise to support the work of the Directorate.
- Working knowledge of Planned Care operations / planning
- Strong experience leading service improvement focused programmes of work
- Ability to work in complex environments and with a wide range of diverse stakeholders that are internal and external to the health enviornment
- Experience designing / driving / delivery of work programmes and project planning to ensure delivery of work on time, and within budget
- Strong written skills and an ability to take complex information and synthesise into key messages for relevant audiences
- The ability to interpret and diseminate intelligence from a range of sources including data
