Events Assistant

If you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment then we may have the perfect opportunity for you The Christchurch City Council, Events team are now looking for Events Assistants, to help run some of our most iconic events, around Ōtautahi.
We rely on our team members to support the Production team, who take pride in our events.
**Tasks include**:
- Coordinating logistics, and providing onsite event support to internal and external stakeholders
- Overseeing site management of event areas
- Assisting with event set up and pack down
- Working collaboratively with technical crew onsite; sound, lighting, waste management
**To be successful in this role, you will**:
- Be physically fit, as you will be in your feet all day
- The ability to take responsibility for elements of event delivery
- Previous event coordination experience desired
- The ability to multi-task, in fast-paced environment
- Flexible to work a range of hours, to suit our different events
- Experience in the events industry is desirable
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- First Aid certificate and NZ Drivers licence is advantageous

**Additional information**:
- Hours of work: Casual. This role may require you to work within the hours of 10am-1am over New Years, and 11am-5pm, dependent on event needs.
- Salary: $26.94 - $32.49
