**About the opportunity**:
Our client, an award-winning natural drinks company headquartered in Whakatū Nelson, is in search of a Sales Lead to propel their New Zealand sales efforts. This role presents a dynamic opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-growing, sustainability-centric FMCG business. **Role description**:
This is an exciting time to join this business, who are in their fastest growth phase, with a strong R&D pipeline. As the Sales Lead, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic sales plan for the New Zealand market. Collaborating with the Head of Marketing, you will be focussed on the growth of revenues for the business. This is a key role in a small team so you will be involved in all aspects of the sales process, strategic and planning as well as working directly with the customers and business partners.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan specifically tailored for the New Zealand market, focusing on key retailers and channels.
- Set sales objectives and targets for in-market sales teams, while also establishing incentive programs to encourage optimal performance.
- Identify and leverage new business opportunities, including distribution partnerships, to expand market presence and revenue in New Zealand.
- Collaborate with the Head of Marketing to drive overall sales growth, and meet or exceed revenue and profitability goals.
- Oversee a range of activities such as product pitching to major retailers, planning promotions, preparing sales analytics reports, and representing the brand at industry events and trade shows.

**This role will suit someone with all or some following background/experience/qualities**:

- Bring 4+ years of direct FMCG experience, with a track record of driving sales growth in major New Zealand retail networks like Countdown, Foodstuffs, and Gilmours.
- Possess strong strategic planning and collaboration skills, demonstrated through experience in working closely with brand and marketing departments to develop comprehensive distribution plans.
- Willing to travel for retail partnerships and market visits, supported by excellent presentation and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Hold a robust understanding of commercial and financial strategies, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Experince in high growth business is essential.
