An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Export operator to join the Wellington branch

**Key Results & Tasks**

The position is responsible for arranging and directing the transportation and shipment of export consignments from origin to destination by compiling, completing and verifying required documents in accordance with company policy and procedure and external body regulations.

Key tasks include:

- Coordinate bookings and process transport shipments by updating information into CargoWise One.
- Compile, complete and verify export documents in accordance with company policy and procedure.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure customs needs are satisfied and rates remain competitive and current.
- Conduct reporting on shipment tracking and milestone completion.
- Calculate monetary issues such as invoice costings, GST, weights and measures in regards to load sizes and space availability.
- Plan and prioritise shipments according to specific requirements and deadlines.
- Communicate with customers and other relevant stakeholders to obtain information or report issues.
- Implement and monitor process improvements
- Support the Senior Team Lead & Manager with day to day activities, and other reasonable tasks and projects as required

**Key Competencies**
- 2-3 years experience in a similar role or within the freight forwarding industry.
- Cargowise One knowledge and experience.
- Processing details
(meeting deadlines, finding errors, accuracy, producing high quality work, follow procedures)
- Communicating Information
(articulating information, shaping opinions, challenging ideas, explaining things)
- High attention to detail
- Ability to problem solve
- Excellent time management skills
