Connecting people and communities | Driving eCommerce | Moving New ZealandTeam Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating across New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Freight Handler to join our Wellington Parcels Team on our AM shift; 11.00am - 7.30pm.Our people and customers are at the heart of everything we do.State of the art facilities, with a diverse team, in a fast-paced and dynamic industry.Medical cover, discounted national holiday homes, and retailer discounts.Career and development opportunities are endless, nationally from Kaitaia to Invercargill and across the Tasman with our TGE family in Australia.You will be responsible for assisting with the safe handling of freight, achieving target delivery goals, and striving to provide an on-time, damage-free service.Additional key duties include:Load and unload all freight safely and securely.Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently.Ensure documentation accompanying freight is complete.Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient manner.Action bay labels, re-stack damaged freight, and protect leaking products.Maintain good working relationships.Communicate effectively within a team environment.To be successful in this role, you will be physically fit, have excellent team coordinating skills, and have some experience working with freight.You will need:Prior work experience in the freight industry.A strong health and safety focus.OSH approved forklift certificate.F endorsed licence (preferred but not essential).Prior long fork experience (preferred but not essential).An understanding of dangerous goods laws (preferred but not essential).It's never been a more exciting time to join us as we take the next step in our journey.To be considered, you must be entitled to work in New Zealand and be prepared to undertake pre-employment checks including a criminal history check and Drug and Alcohol Testing (Medical Assessment for safety-critical roles).Team Global Express is an Alcohol and Drug Free Workplace.All applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand effective immediately.Please click Apply Now to apply for this role or to register your interest.Prioritising our people and our customers is a cornerstone of our success.
