**_ The Role_**

As a Postdoctoral Fellow within our Department, you will join Dr Philip Brydon to work on the project:_Superconductors that survive ultra-high magnetic fields: Revealing the role of symmetry_.

This project is funded by the Royal Society of New Zealands Marsden fund, and seeks to explore the physics of unconventional superconductors in nonsymmorphic lattices. In this you will work closely with PI Brydon and the AI, Prof. Daniel Agterberg (University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee). You will also assist with the development of graduate student skills and participate in MacDiarmid Institute group activities.

**_ Your Skills and Experience_**
- a Doctorate in Physics (or Doctorate nearing completion).
- research experience in theoretical condensed matter or many-body experience in the theory of superconductivity and computational methods would be an advantage.
- published papers in high-quality journals.
- strong communication skills.

**_ Further Details_**

This is a full-time (1.0FTE), fixed-term position for three years. The salary for this position is $82,460 per annum.
