**Mō te Tūranga | About the Role**

This role plays a pivotal role of our Enterprise Performance Team, who support and enable the delivery of the BNZ Finance strategy.

As the Senior Manager Planning, you will optimise the performance of the Finance function by simplifying our systems and processes to reduce manual effort and rework. Although you have no direct people leader responsibilities, you'll use your strong financial experience to coach and mentor Finance colleagues while embedding a continuous improvement mindset.

**What are the key day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?**
- You'll be actively involved with delivery of the Finance strategy and outcomes, including supporting and growing our people.
- Lead the delivery of BNZ objectives and being a catalyst for change.
- Accountable for the overall delivery accurate forecasting and planning that assists the business to drive continual performance improvement.
- To provide expertise for special projects where a deep understanding of the total entity level financial and underlying drivers is required.

**What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?**

You'll be an experienced Senior Manager with a minimum of 10 years' experience in financial/reporting and planning role, and experience within a large corporate environment is essential to this role. Strong stakeholder management and communications skills are also crucial, and you'll have the ability to influence without authority. You'll otherwise be a capable and competent leader who is always driving for continuous improvement. You will demonstrate:

- A proven track record in influencing senior people across the business and driving change.
- Strong financial and management reporting background, with the ability to assimilate complex financial information.
- Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated success in presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications including being a qualified Accountant (CA, CPA).
