**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
This role contributes to improving the effectiveness of products and services procured and used by Te Whatu Ora from a range of suppliers improving efficiency, lowering cost and improving health outcomes. The primary purpose of the role is to engage and manage supplier and stakeholder relationships under contract and develop and execute contract management strategies so that commercial and non-commercial benefits and outcomes are maximised. Engage with Procurement and Category teams with the lifecycle management of supplier contracts, highlighting pending contract expiry, contract renewals and terminations that lead to formal procurement initiatives to be undertaken and support negotiations and finalisation of contracts.
**Mōu | About you**
An experienced procurement professional or contract manager used to working in complex environments with multiple stakeholders. This is a role for someone comfortable dealing with change and wanting to contribute to more effective contract delivery supporting improvement to health outcomes in New Zealand.

- Extensive commercial or procurement experience
- Extensive contract management experience and good understanding of commercial and contractual terms and conditions
- Experience with a category management approach
- Proven stakeholder and supplier relationship management skills
- Experience leading contract management activity relating to large and complex contracts, ensuring the outcomes and efficiencies forecasted are delivered
