**He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role**
If you have previously worked with disabled people and their families, or have lived with experience of disability, have a relevant qualification and are passionate about working in the community with a strong focus on empowering people to live a good life, please consider this newly created role supporting disabled people and their whānau in the Western Bay of Plenty region within the Support Net team.
You will have a good understanding of the principles of Enabling Good Lives (Principles - Enabling Good Lives) and be able to demonstrate experience in roles where you have supported people who may experience discrimination or marginalisation to live their best life.
This is a full-time role, 1.0 FTE (40 hours a week) based out of our Tauranga office.
**He korero mōu - About You**
You will need to be able to lead conversations with disabled people to support them and their whānau to develop plans for living a good life. A good knowledge of the Western Bay of Plenty communities, and the supports and services within these communities is essential.
Specific experience in the disability sector is advantageous but not essential, but experience in a rights-based role will be useful.
