We are looking for an experienced Digital Consultant to join our growing Digital Advisory team within Mott MacDonald Digital Ventures global development hub based in Auckland. You will be working from our offices in Wynyard Quarter and will be supporting the global business.
Realising and developing opportunities
In this role you'll need to identify opportunities within our advisory service streams, and develop existing ones, as well as support major project teams in digital delivery across all our business sectors and regions. You will lead the preparation and presentation of proposals, with a major focus on providing consultancy to key enterprise clients and assisting them in realising the benefits of digital transformation, enterprise information management and smart asset management. You will help position how our services can improve efficiency and deliver better outcomes for projects and management of existing assets across major organisations within public infrastructure and the built environment.
Delivering great work
Day to day you will lead the delivery of advisory projects, helping to manage concurrent priorities across the team. Comfortable engaging with senior level executives, you will help them shape strategies and accelerate progress in adopting new ways of working that contribute to meeting their goals and objectives. You'll understand the vital leadership, capability and cultural components that drive the human element of digital transformation and information management, and be able to demonstrate the value that it brings - to owners and ultimately their customers.
In many cases follow-on projects will develop to implement the strategy we have co-created.

Getting out and forming relationships
As well as bringing an established network of contacts to the role that will help foster growth of the business, and keeping abreast of industry best practice, we want you to be a proactive participant in the digital market. It's important that you take every opportunity to enhance the Mott MacDonald brand and highlight our capabilities; this may include conference presentations, blogs, industry forums, client networking events, industry working groups and thought leadership events.

It's important that we find someone who has been responsible for project delivery, or significant elements of major project delivery, and embodies the principles of lean and agile working. This new business has been challenged to start small, think big and scale fast, which will require a high degree of agility from the whole team. You'll need strong analytical and leadership skills, be comfortable working with disruptive technologies and at times challenge current practice.
If this sounds like you, we'd also like you to have:

- Technical appreciation and some domain knowledge within infrastructure, utilities, construction, energy, transportation or the built environment
- Responsibility and accountability in a leadership role selling and delivering consultancy projects
- Familiarity with current digital thinking and best practice across infrastructure delivery, operations and integration
- Understanding of the requirements and implications of organisational transformation with experience leading business improvement programmes
- Ability to draw insight from complexity and make connections that others don’t see
- Excellent communication and compelling storytelling skills, comfortable presenting to senior audiences
- Customer-centric perspective that focusses on outcomes and whole-life value, fostered through strong relationships.
- Be open minded, assertive, cooperative, sense of team, vision driven and comfortable working within a fast-paced environment.
- Chartered professional status (or equivalent) will be advantageous
