Coordinator, Rangahau Māori Centre

The Rangahau Centre Coordinator will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the Centre in carrying out the mission set by the Co-Directors and the Advisory Board and will be responsible for overseeing the management of finances, managing the appointment of staff and developing external community relationships and collaborations.
As Coordinator, you will also have a focus on supporting and driving projects and initiatives designed to achieve the strategic goals of the Centre including oversight of Centre research projects and supporting research staff that sit under the Rangahau Māori Centre (at the moment this includes Hauora and Archives projects and staff).
Other responsibilities include administration, marketing, communication, reporting, event planning and relationship development and you will make significant contributions to driving the Centre’s success through the implementation of structured initiatives and innovation.
Other tasks will encompass day to day operational management of some staff including contracts, leave planning and HR, liaison between existing funders and sub-contractors, development of new funding opportunities, oversight of project milestones achievement, Centre budget oversight and reporting to the wider team, funders and our communities of interest including iwi and hapū.
- Tikanga and Te Reo Māori skills
- Degree or management qualification
In addition, experience in research, managing people and resources and in the development and management of key community relationships are important requirements for this role.
