- Lead a function that positively impacts New Zealanders today and tomorrow
- 6 month fixed term or Interagency Secondment Opportunity

**_Indicative salary $210,000 - 260,000 p.a. + 9% Superannuation _**

Our vision at ACC is to create a unique partnership with every New Zealander, improving their quality of life by minimising the incidence and impact of injury. At the centre of this, our Prevention & Partnerships Group leads the delivery of our Injury Prevention and Health Sector Strategies, working in close partnership with other parts of ACC to achieve positive outcomes for New Zealanders.

As our acting **Head of Injury Prevention **, you’ll be joining an extraordinary team of hugely talented people who deliver our mahi across Aotearoa. This is a **6 month + secondment or fixed term opportunity **while the incumbent is seconded externally.

**Mō tenei tūrana mahi | About this role**

This is a rare opportunity to take on a role with the potential for intergenerational impact; driving societal shifts in our collective responsibility for injury prevention - with the potential to positively impact New Zealanders now and for future generations _"Mō tātou, ā, mō kā uri ā muri ake nei" (for us and our children after us). _

You will be arriving at a critical point in ACC’s history, with a reasonably new Board, a new Executive, and right on the eve of our new 10-year strategy. There will be an urgent need to continue to advance and support the delivery of the injury prevention strategic direction for the Board aligned to our new strategy and related activities.

As our Head of Injury Prevention your role will provide oversight and leadership for the Injury Prevention team and drive a collaborative mana enhancing culture. You will contribute to enhanced partnerships and relationships that support the strategic direction and team, and enhances ACC’s reputation. As part of a recently formed Prevention & Partnership leadership team you’ll be collectively responsible for shaping the future direction and culture of this group. You’ll connect across the functions of the Group, with an eye to risks, gaps, and opportunities to ensure achievement of strategic priorities. You’ll work collaboratively with Enterprise Leaders across ACC to ensure the successful delivery of a strategic shift to collective ownership of injury prevention and strategic delivery of initiatives and thinking that form the future of injury Prevention in Aotearoa.

**Ko wai koe | About you**

As an experienced leader you will be known for your empathy, leading in a mana enhancing way, and the fun you bring to your hardworking teams.

Your technical expertise is likely to include experience in like natured roles, spanning public health, accident prevention or community development but it is your systems thinking and strategic influencing skills that will set you apart. You will be accustomed to working at a senior level, influencing, and building trust and confidence with both Executive teams and Boards.

The importance of equity and putting te Tiriti into practice will underpin your work in a way that role models and leads out in the important role ACC has in improving access, experience, and outcomes for Māori.

At ACC we look after our people. As part of our team, you’ll have access to a range of flexible working options, development opportunities within ACC, a market leading 9% superannuation contribution, wellbeing days, life insurance, discounted Southern Cross health insurance, discounted gym membership, retail discounts and staff banking packages.

**Working at ACC**:

- Employee networks to support our colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
