Our Checkout Department are currently recruiting to fill a supervisor's position. In this role you will need to be able to build a good relationship with customers and team, and be able to focus and think clearly under pressure.

**To be successful in this role**:

- Highly motivated, enthusiastic and reliable.
- Actively sets, monitors and maintains consistently high standards of customer service.
- Achieve the minimum scan rates as required.
- Upholds our store vision, mission and values as well as customer promises.
- Follow Health and Safety Policy, Food Safety Policy and compliance procedures in the store.
- Adhere to the Sales of Liquor and follow store guidelines

**This** role will included but is not limited too**:

- Serving customers and packing trolleys.
- Dealing with customer complaints and issues.
- Building rapport with our customers and team.
- Following all cleaning procedures and undertaking additional housekeeping as required.
- Handling all monies correctly ensuring the till balances on a daily basis.
- Assisting in other areas of the store as required.
- Approving Restricted Item Sales (Alcohol & Tobacco)
- Being the leader of the team when the manager or 2IC are not there

You must be able to obtain a duty managers certificate if successful for this role. (This will be paid for by the company)

Experience in the supermarket industry, especially checkout would be preferred, or a similar background with transferable skills.

**Days and Hours**:
Available to work from 2:00pm onwards for Evening Shifts, and days will be discussed with the applicant upon interview stage, but it will require to work either Saturday or Sunday night.
- Successful applicants will be drug tested.
- Applicants for this position must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
