**About the Role**
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual to join our Warehouse team in New Zealand. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this role will coordinate outbound logistics arrangements for New Zealand sales and provide administrative support that facilitates smooth cost-effective, and efficient operations across Detmold warehouses and sites.
**Key Duties**:

- Provide robust end-to-end management of CHEP pallet transfers process, performing daily account reconciliations, investigating variances, and following up with third parties as required to minimise cost leakage
- Manage bookings for all outbound road freight, and providing the first point of contact for transport-related customer queries
- Manage the Coastal Containers process, entering stock to be transferred into QAD and arranging collection by freight forwarder. Ensure accurate receipting of stock by South Island 3PL, investigating any variances and completing the receipt. Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure stock accuracy and integrity
- Manage export containers process, creating sales order, and necessary shipping documentation and arranging collection by freight forwarder. Ensure accurate receipting, investigating any variances and completing the receipt
- Responsible for WAM (Weight and Measurement) data management and maintenance in QAD including configuring new items or deviations in QAD
- Manage and order site consumables
- Generate ad-hoc, daily, weekly and monthly reports for Warehouse Manager as required e.g. pallet consolidation opportunities, pick accuracy, customer DIFOT reports etc.
- Proactively address customer concerns and requests, developing solutions that demonstrate the Detmold promise of delivering quality service and efficiency
- Analyse data in relation to freight, logistics, and warehouse operations to drive continuous improvement projects and efficiency improvements
- Provide Inventory Controller with credit resolutions as required
- Provide administrative support for all OH&S related activity such as:

- Ensuring contractor, freight providers and visitors complete necessary safety induction and provide relevant documentation
- Maintaining training records and organising training as required
- Updating notice boards and other site visuals
- Documenting and circulating minutes from the OH&S Committee
- Facilitate site maintenance, logging repairs and liaising with contractors on site, as required
- Any other administrative duties, as required
- Previous experience as CHEP controller
- Organised and methodical, with the ability to establish and maintain robust processes, and avoid incurring unnecessary cost
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail at all times
- Well-developed problem-solving skills, and willingness to persevere until the solution is achieved
- Basic understanding of end-to-end warehouse operations, from goods inwards through to dispatch
- Knowledge and experience of logistics / stock management software; highly accurate data entry
- Well-developed computer and data management skills. Intermediate Excel skills and the ability to quickly pick up new computer systems
- High level communication skills and ability to establish credible relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Strong personal accountability matched with ability to integrate within team focused environment
- An ability to maintain focus when managing competing demands
- Maintain personal resilience and deliver on priorities, even under times of pressure
- Strong commitment to the provision of service excellence
- NZ Driver’s License essential; Forkhoist (reach) Operator’s License advantageous
