**Te Tūranga | About the Role**:
We have an amazing opportunity at our Belfast site in the north of Christchurch, for a Planning and Reliability Lead (PRL) who wants to continue to improve reliability performance to join our team. This position is responsible for focusing on the lifecycle of all assets that the Engineering function covers. Broadly, this includes MEX systems, Maintenance Plans (Preventative and Reliability) and the scheduling of all asset-related planned activities. Beyond this core delivery, this role will be a key player delivering our continuous improvement approach to the engineering department - we want to see further progress in the way reliability and planning is delivered on site.

The key impact areas of this role are to:

- Lead and grow the planning and reliability team, with a focus on developing continuous improvement mindset and change championship.
- Provide asset leadership for strategic planning and controls
- Ensure Preventative Maintenance (PMs) plans are in place to support equipment life cycle span for componentry with the aim of extending reliability and production up time
- Manage the engineering budget and project portfolio
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and best practices

**Ōu Pūkenga | About You**:
You’ll have broad-based experience in plant mechanical and engineering practices, with a particular emphasis on maintenance and plant reliability. You’ll have a collaborative leadership style, with the ability to recognise expertise within individuals and play to those strengths. You’ll also be able to build solid relationships across departments and stakeholders. Additionally, you’ll have keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to health and safety.

Ideally you will bring:

- A relevant tertiary degree or trade qualification in maintenance engineering
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar leadership position, either a formal lead/manager role or comparable influential position.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft (Word, Excel), Access Database systems and MEX systems
- Good knowledge of plant mechanical and engineering practice and policy
