| About the Role


You'll play a key role in establishing and maintaining a healthy and vibrant team culture, supporting our consent planners with their workloads, growth, and development whilst maintaining key stakeholder relationships.

You are pivotal to enabling our people to thrive. You'll be leading and inspiring the next generation of consent planners. No two days are the same, the work is exciting and plentiful.


This is a permanent full-time position based in Christchurch, talk to us about flexible working options that work for you.

About You
You'll love to grow and develop to see people flourish, using your strong coaching and mentoring skills and experience. You will love to lead teams and inspire high performance.


You'll bring your passion for people, communities, and the environment and be excited by the opportunities that resource management within Waitaha | Canterbury has to offer you.

You'll have a solid understanding of Resource Management, ideally with a tertiary qualification. A thorough understanding of how local government undertakes its resource management functions is desirable.

You're a confident communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills. You're solutions-focused and enjoy a positive outcome along with the skills to inspire and develop our people. You're driven, can work independently, and love to achieve targets and goals.

You'll have an interest in ensuring that mana whenua aspirations are reflected in our regulatory framework.
