**Who is Mint Innovation?**

With around 38 people and our first international commercial plant deployment completed in Western Sydney, we are looking for a Bookkeeper who will play an integral role in the finance team, reporting to the Head of Finance. As a growing technology start-up, this position will require someone who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment and is able to bring a process improvement mindset. As a capital-intensive technology company with a strong international presence, we require someone with high volume accounts payable experience, processing in a variety of foreign currencies.

Mint Innovation has been developing innovative clean technologies since 2016. Our mission is to provide low-cost, sustainable solutions to recover valuable metals from waste (the urban mine) via plants in major cities around the world.

We raised $60m at the start of 2023 which will supercharge our growth and enable rapid deployment of our technology at a global scale. We are therefore seeking someone who will thrive as we campaign hard to achieve our global ambitions.

**A little bit about the role**:
Review existing processes, policies and systems to ensure they continue to be fit-for-purpose and scalable; ensure that processes and policies are communicated and followed whilst driving an improvement culture within the company

Taking ownership of the procure-to-pay process; processing a high volume of invoices in a variety of foreign currencies and matching invoices to purchase orders

Paying invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorisation of payment according to approval matrix

Supporting the financial accountant with month-end procedures and GL management

Supporting the project management office and ensuring that invoices are processed in a timely manner

Reconciling bank transactions, including credit cards

New supplier setup and processing master data information

Processing payroll; fortnightly for 38 members of staff

Obtain revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing invoices; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments.

**So, who are we looking for?**

This is an opportunity for someone with an enthusiasm for action, who is constantly striving to get things done to a high standard and will enjoy the challenges associated with a rapidly scaling technology business.

At least 2 years of sound experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and bank reconciliation

Procure-to-pay process improvement experience

Excellent written and verbal communication

Experience working in Netsuite or a similar ERP system

Experience processing in a variety of foreign currencies and foreign banks

Attention to detail and thoroughness

Driven by getting results and helping the company to succeed

Can-do attitude, comfortable taking on a range of tasks and undertaking operational activities as required

Highly organised, engaged and actively seeks opportunities for improvement.
