**About the role**
An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Donor Services nursing leadership team.
Reporting to the Charge Nurse you will be required to work collaboratively with the senior nursing team, Registered Nurses and Donor Technicians. Working closely with inter-departmental services you will demonstrate a high quality of care to donors by demonstrating best practice.
This position has overall responsibility for the day to day management of the donor floor, which includes whole blood and plasma apheresis collections and therapeutic procedures.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing clinical leadership
- Maintaining a positive and caring environment and facility for donors
- Provide strong leadership with a 'hands on approach' to the team
- Ensure professional development and training is completed and meets organisational requirements
- Managing incident and complaints
Salary starting from $122,086 to $133,902 depending on skills, registration, and experience.
**About you**
To be successful in this role you will:
- Be a Registered Nurse with a minimum of five years' experience with demonstrated skills in a Nursing Leadership position within the Health Sector
- Have appropriate post-graduate qualification (this will be an added advantage)
- Have a current NZ Practising Certificate as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing Council of NZ
