**Exciting Senior Nurse Opportunity to join our Level 8 Perioperative team on a full time basis: 40 hrs/week**

**The opportunity | Ngā whakaritenga o te mahi**
An exciting opportunity for a permanent Clinical Nurse Coordinator role for Level 8 Orthopaedics theatres has become available due to an internal job transfer.

You will ideally have leadership experience in a tertiary hospital preferably within orthopaedics/trauma operating theatres, excellent communication skills, expert knowledge and skills, and will be a driver for quality improvement initiatives with the focus on safe care delivery and staff wellness.

You will be assisting the Charge nurse to coordinate a highly experienced team and work closely with the other Adult and Emergency Theatre Clinical Nurse coordinator to ensure service continuity and optimum patient outcomes. You will be contributing to planning and managing relevant resources for theatre sessions, supporting with the staffing professional development, and liaising with other multi-disciplinary groups to ensure efficient theatre utilisation.

You will need to be a master in relationships building, collaborate with medical representatives and senior management team for the day-to-day co-ordination of both elective and acute theatre sessions across level 8 OR’s.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**
- Advanced clinical practice knowledge - at least 5 years of operating room experience, with strong knowledge and decision-making skills.
- Commitment to excellence in patient care delivery
- Demonstrated expertise in setting standards and managing practice to achieve these
- Ability to provide coaching and address performance issues
- Strong accountability for resource and budget management
- Current NZ Nursing Council Registration and an annual practicing certificate
- A commitment to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Ideally, you will have completed or working towards a post-graduate qualification.
