**The Garden Hotel is looking for our next Venue Manager**

Our next Venue Manager will be an individual who is creative, is passionate about building the place where everyone wants to be and is looking for somewhere to make their mark on the hospitality industry in Wellington.

As a Venue Manager, you will be creative and business driven while also working to develop your amazing team. You’ll be expected to hit the ground running and be eager to get stuck right in. This role is a very hands-on operational position requiring presence during key service times to ensure the team is performing in all areas of the venue. Balancing the need for speed, effective and thoughtful service with attention to the smaller details is our style.

The Garden Hotel has a lot of potential, and we are needing a leader who will help the venue live up to its potential. In this role, you will gain valuable experience through menu design and concept development, with support from the Area Coach.

This is a full-time position with a minimum of 45 hours per week. The starting salary will be negotiated based on your previous experience.
- An outstanding employment history in the hospitality industry
- At least 2 years experience in a senior management position at a similar sized venue
- A valid LCQ and Manager’s License (this is essential for compliance purposes)
- The ability to be a motivating and hands on leader - the team will be keen to follow you and come along for the journey
- Top notch communication skills and a positive attitude
- The ability to have strong control of a busy restaurant and bar
- A passion for good friendly service and an absolute pro on the floor
- An excellent understanding of sound cost control & revenue generating ability
