As an **Inventory Controller**, you will be based in **Auckland, New Zealand**, and report to the Operations Manager NZ. You will manage the day-to-day management and accuracy of raw materials inventory, received on the site and close off completed Process orders.

Using MRP principles, cyclic inventory counting, and working within inventory policies, you will ensure a consistent flow of raw materials into the plant, maximizing the opportunities presented by lean manufacturing principles.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensuring raw material inventory processes and consumption at the Auckland site across all production locations are efficient and effective.
- Monitor inbound receipting performance and consumption issues, including addressing health checks across receipting and consumption, with appropriate troubleshooting.
- Ensure cycle count checks are completed within agreed timelines, and physical stock matches system stock data based on agreed methods.
- Monitor and enforce procedures with the greater team and business to ensure inventory is correctly tracked, supplied, consumed, or corrected.
- Work within SAP-driven cycle counting process ensuring the process follows PPG controllership requirements.
- Prepare and conduct yearly physical stock take of raw materials.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies identified through cycle count procedures.
- Monitor stock adjustments, ensuring adherence to delegations of authority and SAP roles governance.
- Coordinate IM master data changes and contribution to the NIRO process, ensuring correct master data is applied to all materials managed through SAP.
- Work in partnership with Supply Chain COE in the management of site inventory and warehousing processes according to agreed global processes/templates.
- Continuous improvement of stock positioning in warehouses, ensuring storage is mirrored in SAP.
- Conduct root cause analysis for inventory, receipting, and consumption issues. Implement appropriate system/process improvements to reduce errors.
- Provide training and development for business users as required.

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge of MRP and inventory principles and detailed knowledge of resulting systems.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a batch production environment beneficial.
- Understanding of Lean in an MRP environment.
- Demonstrated relationship skills to ensure a consistent team approach to all activities.
- Understanding of PC-based and demand management.
- An understanding of material flows through a complex batch environment.
- An understanding of the planning & supply functions.
- Strong understanding and user of SAP in particular SAP - HANA 4.
