**Job Role Description**
The **BizTalk Consultant** will be a key role player in Application Development team, working closely with Functional and Operational stakeholders to ensure the business users can get most out of the existing systems by providing ongoing system development and enhancement activities with highest quality and second
- and third-line support to the user community as well.
This also includes project work relating to the implementation of new core IT systems, upgrading and enhancement of existing systems and provide improvements / modifications to improve the end user experience.
Challenges of the role will include pressure for resolving high severity/major business impact system related issues, dealing with users and Business Analysts daily, learning/retaining business knowledge.
A key component of the role is the use of analytical and problem-solving skills and requires the ability to think quickly and creatively as well as making decisions/recommendations to Team Leads and management.
**Major Accountabilities (Tasks)**
BizTalk Consultant will be responsible for delivering the following functions to Projects, BAU and Operation IT teams.
- Experience to lead and build a good team to follow agility
- Strong hands on and technical skills in Microsoft Technologies.Net Framework, Microsoft BizTalk Server (Code Development and Administration), C#, Web API, WCF, Microsoft SQL Server (Development and Administration), Windows PowerShell scripting (v5 or above), BizTalk Deployment Framework (BTDF), Design Patterns, Team Foundation Server (TFS v2019), GIT and ServiceNow.
- Strong Knowledge in BizTalk development and implementations using various artifact like orchestrations, Maps, Schemas, Custom Pipeline components, and custom objects implemented via BizTalk, BAM (Activity Monitoring), BRE (Rule Engine) and associated services (.NET, WCF, FTP, SFTP, SQL, REST Services etc.)
- Strong Knowledge in Microsoft BizTalk Servers 2020 or higher version.
- Strong Knowledge in developing SQL objects like Stored Procedures, Functions, and Packages using SQL Server (v2019)
- Hands-on experience in developing database objects like Stored Procedures, Functions, and Packages using Oracle 12c & Oracle 19c.
- Having knowledge in AppFabric Caching.
- Experience in Change management, incident and problem management, Environments management and BAU operations
- Ready to work on weekends or nights for Production release and implementations
- Troubleshoot, identify root cause and resolve performance issues across the system within SLA.
- Designs, codes, tests, corrects, and documents programs and scripts from specifications and subsequent iterations, using agreed upon standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineered result
- Continuously collaborate with customer to understand the new requirements and communicate the same to offshore Team.
- Support new initiatives and/or recommendations for platform scalability, availability, upgrade, and re-use
- Can work independently with Minimal or no supervision and direction.
- Develop, maintain and provide technical expertise to transfer knowledge of integration technology components.
- Provide Hyper-care or post go-live support
- Ability to maintain strong relationship with all Business users, Infrastructure providers and internal team members and has a proven record of managing stake holder’s expectations effectively.
- Key contact point for the SDM for all stakeholders and key customer business contacts.
**NOTE**:The BizTalk Consultant should be in on-call to support the business after hours. This role will be the primary contact for any high severity / major business impacts created by system issues. Also, Ability to communicate and work along with various support groups like L1, L2 and L3 if situation demands.
**Job Qualifications**
- Strong experience in Software Design & Development, documentation, deployment, incident and problem management and production support.
- Experience and proficiency in Agile Software Development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience in ITIL process and methodology.
- Good client-facing skills
- Strong Problem-solving and analytical skills
**Required Skills/Educational Qualification**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Microsoft BizTalk Server.
