**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
We are looking for a senior registered nurse with strong leadership and advanced nursing skills to join our team as Colorectal Clinical Nurse Specialist in General Surgery.
You will provide professional and clinical leadership, patient care co-ordination, education and clinical teaching to patients and staff. The role covers primary, secondary and tertiary care of colorectal patients. You will need to work autonomously and as part of a supportive senior nursing team committed to effective/evidenced based nursing practice.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**
To ensure success in the role you will need to have an extensive surgical nursing background.
It is essential that you meet the following criteria:
- Have NZ nursing registration with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Practicing at a senior level preferably with a postgraduate certificate or diploma in speciality nursing
practice with strong interest in a strong interest in ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery) principles and nurse endoscopy (the latter not essential).
- Have at least 3-5 years post graduate experience preferably in General Surgical/Trauma
- Interact effectively with a multi-disciplinary team and service members
- Maintain safe cultural practice and develop your cultural knowledge
- Have excellent supervisory, communication and problem-solving skills in order to relate to and work with staff and patients at all levels.
