**Mō te tūnga | About the role**

This role is pivotal in supporting our national service operations manager enabling him to focus on his core responsibilities. Your ability to handle confidential information, manage calendars and facilitate communication where needed will be essential in driving efficiency and productivity.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Diary management
- Manage internal & external meetings
- Inbox management ensuring priorities are flagged
- Documentation creation and management including scheduled and add hoc reports
- Ability to take data and create meaningful visual presentations
- Liaising with internal & external stakeholders on behalf of the NSOM
- Managing work related travel and accommodation
- Managing projects as required
- General administration duties including ordering stationary and consumables

The role is based in Hamilton and allows allocated days to work from home. Some regional travel is required from time to time.

You are a top-notch administrator who can anticipate needs and proactively address issues to ensure smooth operations. Great at being organised and being a great organiser, you will be one step ahead of the NSOM.

Being able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people is an integral part of this role. Therefore, the ability to encourage, influence and drive positive behaviour is essential; Your confident interpersonal and strong communication skills will enable this for you.

You are a collaborator and relationship builder and can be counted on to achieve and maintain quality, with an eye for continuous improvement.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and Experience**

These will include:

- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in support administration
- Advanced level of computer literacy across the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the special status of Māori as tangata whenua would be an advantage
- Proficiency in a Pacific language would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in Te Reo Māori would be advantageous.
