We're looking for someone to join our Audit Quality Group who's interested in improving the quality of public sector audits and other work carried out on behalf of the Auditor-General.

**The role will involve**:

- monitoring the quality of annual audits and related engagements carried out on behalf of the Auditor-General;
- reporting on the results of quality assurance reviews; and
- helping to lead improvements to the quality of annual audits.

**To be successful, you'll have**:

- a tertiary qualification, incorporating a sound grounding in auditing and accounting;
- membership of the CA College of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (or equivalent);
- at least five years' practical audit experience, including experience as an Audit Manager or at a more senior level; and
- experience in public sector auditing.

The Quality Assurance Manager role is a permanent position based in our Wellington office, with some travel required. The work schedule is generally five days a week (Monday to Friday), 40+ hours a week.
