As a Criminal Proceeds Case Coordinator, you will contribute to and be a member of the operations team of the Criminal Proceeds Management Unit. You will be administering Criminal Proceeds asset management cases and carrying out fieldwork.

You will be enforcing Orders of the Court and will be carrying out the duties of the Official Assignee under the Criminal Proceeds (Recovery) Act 2009.

**This will also include**:

- Asset management and risk management of all restrained and forfeited assets from the time they are seized uplifted and stored to when they are disposed of or returned at settlement and closure of the cases
- Coordinate, plan and attend field operations, with agents, service providers, other enforcement agencies such as NZ Police and NZ Customs
- Action the High Court Orders instructing the Official Assignee to take custody and control of restrained assets under the Criminal Proceeds Recovery Act 2009
- Assisting with monthly reporting and audit requirements for internal and external stakeholders
- Engaging, liaising and instructing Crown Solicitors, MBIE legal or any other service provider to act on behalf of the Official Assignee
- Ensuring the accuracy of the Criminal Proceeds Asset Management system is maintained and updated on the status of each asset
- Daily update of the Asset Management system and reporting to stakeholders
- Comply with CPMU and MBIE policies and best practices including code of conduct and audit
- Complete OIA, PA requested of the Official Assignee NZ under the Criminal Proceeds Recovery Act 2009 legislation
- Reviewing Court documents to ensure all information is accurate and correct
- Reports directly to the CPMU Team Leader
- Participate and contribute to team projects
- Liaise with all parties involved with Criminal Proceeds Recovery Act work
- Attend meetings and training provided by MBIE relevant to the role
- Adhere to Health, Safety and Security of the workplace Ngā pukenga me ngā wheako e hiahiatia ana - Skills and Experience Required
- An understanding of the statutory functions of the Official Assignee’s criminal proceeds work practices
- Practical experience in a regulatory environment
- Proven asset and case management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Build and maintain working relationships with stakeholders
- Strong planning and organisational skills including the ability to maintain performance when under pressure and appropriate prioritisation of work
- Over-night travel required for operations outside of Auckland
- Hold a clean, full NZ drivers licence
- Be able to complete a credit and police check
- Must be eligible to be granted security clearance and hold a warrant with delegated powers of the Official Assignee NZ
- Adhere to the ISO 9002 Quality assurance and management certification, internal and external audit requirements in the administration of each case
- A tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience
