We currently have a permanent opportunity for personnel to step into the Clinical Practice Team, specifically as a Clinical Support Officer - Education in Team Charlie.

Team Charlie are responsible for delivery of clinical education in the Auckland and Northland districts, including (but not limited to) delivery of foundation courses, NZ Diploma in Ambulance Practice, CCE, and other clinical support activities such as provision of Clinical Assessment Days, Clinical Support Sessions for Interns, and support for personnel with a Clinical Performance Improvement Plan (CPIP).

As a CSO- Education (Team Charlie) you will be supporting any one of these activities, and we'll provide you with the support you need to become confident in delivery of education and other clinical support functions.

This is a permanent full-time position working 42 hours per week, between Monday to Sunday. Preferred location is in the Auckland district however, we will consider applicants from the Northland district too, noting that a degree of travel will be required as part of the role.

As a CSO - Education, you will be a high performing ambulance officer, with a passion for clinical excellence and education.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- To have a current ATP (EMT and Paramedic preferred).
- A Certificate in Adult Teaching and NZQA 4098 (preferred).
- To be willing to travel for the role as required.
- A strong self-reflective skillset.
- Have excellent attention to detail.
- Be computer and tech savvy.
- Proven clinical knowledge and strong written skills.
- A passion to mentor, support, teach and educate.
- The ability to work independently with initiative and drive.
- Well-developed communication and people skills.
- A good understanding of the MS Office suite.
- Have the ability to complete work autonomously.
- Be reliable and motivated with a positive attitude.
- Have a keen interest to learn and improve your own clinical practice through exposure to a wide range of clinical initiatives.
- Demonstrate behaviours that align with St John's core values - Do the right thing, Side by side, Straight up, Make it better, Open minds
