We are now seeking a Senior Investment Portfolio Analyst in our Investment Planning team in our Finance group.

**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

Auckland Transport's Investment Planning Team works across the business to develop investment plans and manage the performance of our investment management system.

In this role you will provide strategic investment planning and portfolio advice to AT's business and support our investment governance. You will help to develop our 10 year investment programme and the Regional Land Transport Plan (RLTP).

In particular, the role supports the Investment Management Lead by developing analysis and advice to support investment decisions for a wide range of projects, the performance of our Investment Portfolio to meet investment objectives, and the performance of our investment management system. This is a varied role that requires engagement with many people and teams across the business to a senior level.

The role contributes to:

- Development of Auckland Transport's capital programme
- Development and ongoing monitoring of the Regional Land Transport Plan (RLTP)
- Assistance with Auckland Transport's input to multi-agency strategic planning - such as the ATAP process
- Analysis and advice on investment performance and reporting
- Coordination and support for the Investment Committee including leading assurance reviews of investment proposals
- Development of relevant briefing material to the Board and other stakeholders

**Ko koe tēnei | About you**
- A relevant degree and/or postgraduate qualification
- Experience in large portfolios, programmes or investment management, analysis and reporting
- Experience in portfolio/capital management systems and processes, assessing financial information, business cases and benefits and reporting on investment performance
- Strong focus and experience at engaging and managing stakeholder relationships from project managers to senior levels. Some experience of this in the public sector and/or central and local government is preferred.
- Experience leading the delivery of cross-departmental projects and initiatives
- Strong analytical and numerical skills coupled with excellent written and oral communication skills, particulary for communication with executive team members and the Board
- Highly effective relationship building skills
- Broad understanding of statutory and policy framework for the planning and funding of transport in New Zealand
