- Building & Construction- We are seeking a dedicated Leading Hand to join our dynamic team in the Greater Waikato Region. As a Leading Hand, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our construction projects, ensuring high-quality standards, and fostering a safe and collaborative work environment within your specialized field.**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain and oversee site vehicles, plant, and equipment related to your area of expertise.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to work site personnel in your specialized field.
- Coordinate tasks while ensuring adherence to safe work practices and risk assessments specific to your expertise.
- Manage work site requirements within your specialized area in the absence of the Manager, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Assist Supervisors in resource planning and material ordering relevant to your specialized sector, contributing to efficient project programming.
- Conduct quality control checks and assist in QA documentation within your area of specialization.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders and management, representing the specialized requirements and standards of our company in your field.

**Health & Safety Focus**:

- Adhere strictly to the Company’s Health & Safety Management Code of Conduct within your specialized field.
- Actively champion safety as the top priority on site within your specialized sector.

**Time Management**:

- Punctuality and adherence to site start and finish times within your specialized field.
- Timely completion of designated tasks related to your expertise with supervisor approval.

**Building Relationships**:

- Demonstrate respect and professionalism in all interactions within your specialized field.
- Engage effectively with Site Leadership/Management for task instructions within your expertise.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project objectives within your specialized sector.
- Serve as a liaison between the workforce and Site Management staff regarding specialized requirements.
- Uphold the Company's image when dealing with external parties, considering the specialized needs of your sector.

**Required Competencies**:

- Physical fitness for full-day outdoor work within your specialized sector.
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team within your area of expertise.
- Proficiency in using hand tools specific to your specialized field.
- Class 1 licence
- Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces within your specialized sector with suitable training.
