**About the role**

We are seeking for a highly motivated and experienced Embedded Systems Engineer to join a dynamic team to perform software engineering duties, follow, and establish standards and procedures.

This position also provides technical expertise in system architecture, software design and implementation.

**In this role you will**:

- Perform software engineering duties including the full range of programming tasks: problem analysis, solution determination, code design and development, integration, test, modification, and documentation.
- Plan and participate in software systems development from inception to completion, which may include gaining customer acceptance.
- Assist in the gathering of requirements and preparation of design specifications.
- Create well-structured, maintainable, and extensible code and documentation.
- Participate in, and on occasion lead projects.
- Demonstrate safe and environmentally responsible work practices.

**To succeed in this role you need**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science or similar field with Embedded Software development experience; **OR**:

- 2 years in Embedded Software/firmware development in a commercial environment **&/OR** 2 years of development of C/C++ for embedded systems on a range of platforms including bare-metal microcontrollers and embedded operating systems.
- Experience in creating and maintaining tests for embedded systems.
- Knowledge and a good understanding of a range of communication systems and protocols including Modbus, serial, RF technologies.
- Ability to read a circuit schematic and experience with standard electronics tools such as oscilloscopes.
