We are on the hunt for an experienced
**Embedded Engineer** to join our professional Product team based in Albany.

We are looking to complement our Albany-based Engineering team with an Embedded Engineer (Production Systems) focused on developing and supporting automated product testing in a volume manufacturing environment.

**The role**
As an Embedded Engineer (Production Systems), you will work with project engineering teams to analyse, architect and design software to support product tests in a volume manufacturing environment.

You will be developing software solutions to automate and execute AoFrio’s production test hardware and you will be supporting AoFrio’s test servers, data collection and analytics tools.

You need to have a passion for technology and a strong interest in designing and developing complex systems that operate within our environment.

Your love for coding and problem-solving will be crucial in this role as you will be heavily programming in Python, C, C++ and QT.

**Furthermore, you will have**:

- bachelor’s degree in software, Computer Science or similar
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Software Engineering
- Python, C and C++ expertise
- SQL Database programming and administration (ideally Postgres and SQL lite)
- Development of production test systems for volume manufacturing
- Remote administration of testers with networking programming knowledge
- Basic Linux server administration skills
- Experience with embedded communications interfaces (I2C, SPI) and Bluetooth LE
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and provide solutions to production.
- Experience with issue trackers - e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla
- Development of production test systems for volume manufacturing
