**He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role**

Providing support from within our Emergency Housing Service, this role is focused on housing and connecting whānau with the community. You will be focused on guiding tenants through the Ministry of Social Development system, health and education services where required, to enable whānau to reconnect by using your community connections to become involved in the wider community.

This is a permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30 am and 5:00 pm.

Duties of the role include:

- Coordinating with your colleagues in tandem to support whānau through their journey
- Supporting whānau with their goals and daily tasks
- Liaising and researching other appropriate organisations in the Christchurch community
- Conducting and writing assessments and support letters
- Responding to urgent matters and ensuring safety concerns are addressed

If you bring along the following, we would love to hear from you:

- A level 4 qualification in Mental Health and Addiction or Social Services (or higher)
- At least 2 years' experience working within the mental health sector
- Lived experience (desirable)
- Be culturally responsive and non-judgemental
- See the potential in people and thrive in a challenging and ever-changing environment
- Have the ability to easily build professional relationships with people
- Resilience, with strong personal and professional boundaries
- A decisive and confident approach to many challenges you will face
- Full NZ driver's licence
