**Mō te tūnga | About the role**

In this exciting new role within People Operations, you will be supporting managers in the capability uplift of teams where we have introduced new ways of working. As this is a new role it's your opportunity to develop and imbed tools and processes that create positive experiences for our staff and customers.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have skills in continuous capability uplift and be competent using these. The ongoing induction of new staff and introduction of new processes will also require a development component that would be led from this position. The People Systems Capability Uplift position will be responsible for ensuring an ongoing, high level of capability in processes and technology.

**Mōu | About you**

If you have experience in the following, you would be well placed for our role: a strong understanding of adult education, creating learning and development plans, instructional design, reporting on performance measures and outcomes and improvement of service environments.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**

**To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following**:

- Understanding and analysing people and capability development needs and requirements
- Identifying specific areas of development aligned to future improvement areas and alongside the continuous improvement resource
- Creation of strong inductions for People & Capability (P&C) staff and supporting leaders in performance improvement plans, aligned to specific employee needs and the wider context required to deliver effective employee experience and services.
- Creating, developing, and maintaining capability uplift plans for the P&C function
- Development of capability material for new and existing P&C staff
- Implementation and delivery of capability uplift, including scheduling and planning of capability
- Driving and implementing a reflective practice environment across the P&C capabilities hub
- Assessing and analysing the development needs of P&C functions, to ensure each team have regular development opportunities and individuals have clear development plans.
- Knowledge and awareness of how Te Ao Māori should be reflected in the people systems landscape
