Applications are invited for a Fixed term 1.0 FTE Specialist Gastroenterologist. This position becomes available in February 2024 for a period of 6 months. The successful appointee will preferably have a broad range of Gastroenterology experience and training, however newly qualified SMO are also encouraged to apply.

**Mō tātou Ratonga | About our Service**

We serve as tertiary referral center for wide range of liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease and interventional endoscopy procedures. The current team consists of 9 Gastroenterologists, Specialists Nurses in Hepatology and Inflammatory Bowel Disease and two Nurse Endoscopists. We have three advanced trainees as part of the national training scheme. The appointee will be involved in teaching, continuing medical education and quality improvement. There is emphasis on ongoing development of services to meet the needs of our patients. A commitment to customer focus, service development and teamwork are essential.

**Mōu | About you**

The possession of specific clinical skills in endoscopic procedures is essential. Applicants must be registered with the New Zealand Medical Council (or have qualification that are immediately registerable) and have appropriate postgraduate qualifications.
