We are seeking a passionate, committed Haematologist (1.0 FTE + on-call, fixed term for 12 months) to join our dynamic, progressive and multidisciplinary department at Waikato Hospital, the largest tertiary hospital in New Zealand. **Ko o tatou painga | Our Benefits**- The Haematologist works with eight clinical Senior Medical Officer / Consultant colleagues and a haematopathologist who leads the laboratory service.-
- There is additional haematology support from the community-based diagnostic laboratory and the New Zealand Blood Service via their on-site facility and Transfusion Medicine Specialist.-
- The service is accredited for advanced training in Haematology with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA).**Mōu | About you**

- Health NZ | Te Whatu Ora, Waikato offers a comprehensive range of Haematology services servicing the needs of a regional population of over 840,000 across the Midland region. Haematology services include inpatient care at Waikato Hospital, outpatient care locally and across the region and laboratory services also at Waikato Hospital.
- Inpatient care is on a 30-bed ward shared with the Oncology specialties and includes acute leukaemias and autografts but not allografts. Outpatients are seen across the region, at local hospitals, by way of visits from our medical staff combined with local specialist nursing staff. The laboratory provides testing for inpatients and specialised testing for the wider region, including flow cytometry and cytogenetics / FISH.
