**What's the job?**

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader for our Water department in Auckland. Being responsible for field staff teams, you will assist the Water Supervisor in the delivery of the maintenance contract. This will include meeting or exceeding contract key performance indicators, improving operational efficiency, customer relationship management, management of staff and their learning and development, asset management, and achieving set goals in health and safety, quality and environmental management.

**About you**:
**Qualifications and experience**
- A relevant Trade Qualification from the Water industry is required as well as;
- A Level 3 minimum Water Serviceperson Qualification
- Trade Certification in Utilities Maintenance is desirable
- Excellent understanding of 3 Water networks and the maintenance of them
- Operational management or supervisory experience in leading staff on contracts
- Strong health, safety and environmental experience
- Knowledge of the Auckland 3 Waters network is desirable although not essential

**Key Responsibilities**

Assist the Water Supervisor by:

- Ensuring operations are managed to achieve optimum efficiency of staff, plant and other assets
- Ensuring that staff are managing plant, to ensure that it is serviced, maintained, safe, productive and treated with respect
- Aiming to minimise downtime through dispatch planning
- Carrying out training, coaching, mentoring and development activities for staff to ensure they have the right knowledge, skills and ability to perform to the best of their ability
- Providing cover when the supervisor is away
- Keeping accurate recording of and reporting on tasks and safety/environmental issues
- Implementing continuous improvements in service, productivity and efficiency by meeting KPI's
