**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon who wishes to work in a major children’s hospital with a level-one trauma unit. Experience in acute and elective paediatric orthopaedics, including complex trauma management/delivery of care is essential for this role, along with a high standard of clinical practice and the ability to inspire others within the team.

As a senior member of the team, you will be required to participate in the teaching and supervision of the RMO workforce and the on-call roster (1 in 10).

The department is actively involved in clinical research and audit including national and international collaborative projects offering exciting opportunities in this area

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**

We welcome enquiries from experienced surgeons who have completed a recognised registrar/residency training programme in orthopaedics, with at least one year of post-graduation fellowship training in paediatric orthopaedics, including paediatric trauma.

Other requirements for the role include:

- Eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- Have completed a Specialty Fellowship training programme recognised by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons or equivalent.
- Experience in acute and elective paediatric orthopaedics.
