About The Role

Exciting opportunity for an experienced **Test Engineer **to join our **CIS-P **in **New Zealand. **Be the testing expert on our dynamic Agile team. Work closely with developers, business analysts, and fellow testers to craft and execute test cases, guaranteeing top-notch software quality. You will thrive in delivering prompt testing while innovating quality processes and automation tools based on your expertise.

About You
- You are a problem-solver and having rigorous attention to detail, with the ability to evaluate and understand complex processes - professional experience with manual testing - having an accredited with an appropriate tertiary degree. You are also at ease working with organizing and self-manage work with business and team priorities.
- You are proficiency in English both verbal and written
- Ideally, you can commit to either hybrid (e.g. 1-3 days per week) or full-time work within our central city (Grafton/University-area) office to facilitate knowledge transfer and growing our team culture.

Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in Agile meetings to define acceptance criteria and estimate testing effort.
- Create and execute test scenarios, recording defects and collaborating within Agile teams for various testing types.
- Provide Sprint-based quality reports to Product Owner, maintain documentation, and update Jira with test tasks, statuses, and defects.
- Contribute to automated test tool framework development and support continuous improvement in quality management.

Desired Qualifications
- Prior or current experience in energy industry roles (e.g. call centre, fieldwork, meter asset management)
- Familiarity with tools used for test management, capture of test evidence and data analysis (e.g. Jira, Zephyr, SQL)
- Having experience being part of a software team working within an Agile development model
