The Facilities & Asset Planning team is experienced and driven and are appointing a Maintenance & Projects Advisor to drive energy-related carbon reduction projects at Council. You will monitor and target energy and carbon, and minimise energy consumption and costs. In addition to providing advice across facilities asset management, facilities maintenance, fleet and security, you will also work with other business units, assisting with energy audits and leading the scoping, planning and implementation of energy reduction projects.

This is a key role where you will be responsible for facilitating and advising on all Council assets and working with a myriad of teams to deliver the Council's mission to become net carbon neutral by 2030.

Your background will demonstrate previous experience in energy management or engineering with a strong interest in energy efficiency. Project management experience in a large complex organisation with proven experience coordinating several projects simultaneously, would be ideal.

Degree qualified, you may have relevant professional energy/carbon accreditations although key to your success you will have:

- The ability to analyse and interpret carbon and energy reduction opportunities and create sound business cases
- A solid aptitude for IT systems and demonstrate effective numeric, analytical and computer skills
- Well-developed written and verbal communication, be an adept presenter of ideas with the ability to bring new perspectives and challenge the status quo
- Sound commercial acumen with the ability to look outside the square while ensuring an eye for the detail
- High levels of motivation, initiative, and drive
