Mō te tūnga | About the role

In this role as Community Carer Coach, you will be based in the community mentoring and guiding our support worker team to ensure they are providing the highest level of cares.

Your day will be varied and could include: conducting individual competency assessments moving and handling training/coaching, medication management and infection control learning while also using your encouraging and passionate attitude to build positive relationships with our tāngata | people, their whānau and other stakeholders.

You will be expected to participate in appropriate training and work as a service delivery senior in areas of specialisation and provide development and encouragement to other support workers.

This role does involve travelling around the wider Wellington Region including Porirua, Kapiti, Hutt Valley, and Central Wellington in a company provided car.

Flexible working arrangements are an option, as the mahi allows.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring

We are looking for people with the following:

- Level 3 or 4 Health and Wellbeing Certificate
- Extensive experience in the healthcare and caregiving workforce including working

with tāngata | people with complex needs, such as spinal injuries, catheter care,

brain injury, and dementia
- A full, clean New Zealand drivers' licence
- Good general computer and technology skills
- Excellent relationship building skills.
- A commitment to a culturally responsive approach (including a good understanding

of Tikanga Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi)
