Auckland City, New Zealand Clemenger Group Full time

GRC Partners + Porter Novelli
Associate, Full Time (Auckland-based)
About us
The role
Due to an internal promotion, GRC Partners + Porter Novelli is looking for an up-and-coming Public Relations Associate to join our Auckland team.
The work you do with us will be interesting, varied, and meaningful. This is an opportunity for you to learn on the job, and progress your career inside a values-led, ambitious and well-connected professional services firm with clients in both New Zealand and Australia.
Our clients are drawn from a diverse range of sectors, including education, financial services, consumer goods, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals.
GRCPN is member of the Clemenger Group, and we work closely with our Australian colleagues at GRACosway.

**About you**:
We're looking for someone with one or two years of work experience under your belt. You might be an in-house communications advisor looking for more variety or a new challenge, a former journalist looking to tell stories in a different way, or an agency account executive who wants to keep learning.
As a member of the client service team, you will play a supporting role in the day-to-day management of multiple client accounts and projects.

**You'll be responsible for**:

- Managing the administration of your client accounts, including regular meetings, action-lists and client correspondence.
- Desk research and insight gathering to support the development of communications strategies for our clients.
- Writing something every day - from newsletters, press releases and pitches to journalists, social media posts.
- Building relationships with journalists and pitching stories to them in support of our media relations strategies (some of which you'll also be helping to develop).
- Supporting our agency's response to new business initiatives, which might include research, writing, creative ideas development and creating presentations.
- Attendance at networking and/or professional development events that supports your development goals.
- Helping to develop our digital marketing capabilities and managing our own digital platforms.

**Experience and attributes**:

- You will have a strong interest in current affairs and be curious about the broader political, economic and business environment in which our clients operate.
- You will have a can-do attitude and enjoy supporting others to succeed.
- You love taking the time to listen to people, their challenges, and their stories.
- You're a team player who always offers a hand, especially if things are busy.
- You will be confident and personable in your interactions with colleagues and clients.
- You will be comfortable working to tight deadlines, on multiple projects, in a team environment.

Hours and location
This position is based in our Auckland office at 100 College Hill, Ponsonby. Occasional travel to Wellington and throughout New Zealand may be required to support colleagues and clients.
We offer a modern and flexible approach to working, including the opportunity to work remotely on a regular basis.
Salary
You can expect a competitive remuneration package, a range of other non-financial benefits, including being part of a team that understands there's more to life than work.
The Clemenger Group supports an inclusive workplace and welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds.
