We are relied upon to design, build and care for many of our country's most iconic civil, commercial and residential landscapes.

As a Team Leader, your main responsibility is to ensure that your team has all the necessary resources to complete their tasks safely, efficiently, and within budget. The key elements of a Team Leader’s job evolve around Project Delivery, Quality, Health & Safety and Team Leadership, and includes sharing your expertise and giving continuous feedback to your team members and clients.
- **Project Delivery**
You manage the resources available to you on site and request more where necessary, making sure your team has everything they need.
You keep oversight over project delivery, monitoring cost and you make sure your team’s work stays inside scope.
When in doubt, you contact your Project Manager (PM), if things go wrong.
- **Quality**
Your team’s work is of the highest standard, you make sure everyone is thorough and the presentation exceeds client expectations.
When you find ways to do things better, you tell other Team Leaders or your PM.
- **Health & Safety**
You make sure your team goes home unharmed every day. You lead by example and you make sure nobody works when they are unfit or without the adequate safety gear.
- **Team Leadership**
You allocate work for the day or week to your team so that they can use their skills and learn new ones.
You give your team regular encouraging feedback and constructive feedback where necessary. You praise a job well done and you point out room for improvement.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:
You will have considerable experience in gardening and handling tools (including heavy machinery) and get immense satisfaction from the feeling of completing a project and pleasing clients. Your keen eye for detail makes you a stickler for tidiness on any work site.

You also take pleasure in sharing your knowledge with others and are adept at communicating and collaborating with your team, clients, and contractors.

**Skills and Experience**:

- 3+ years experience in landscaping, construction, or similar
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to coach others
- Hardscaping experience
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A commitment to health and safety practices that creates a safe working environment for the team and others on site.

**Qualifications**:

- Horticultural Qualification (NZQA Level 4, or studying towards this)
- Site Safe certification
- First Aid certification
- Clean Driver's Licence
