**The Opportunity**
- Salary band - $51,000 - $61,000 p.a prorata plus Kiwisaver
- Various FTE considered (up to 40 hours per week)
- Opportunity to upskill

The Health Care Assistant role is the ideal way for you to kick start your career in health and gain invaluable experience. This role is for Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm.

**About the role**:
This role will see you primarily focusing your attention to the overall needs of the service. This is a varied role within a clinical environment, and you will need to be able to take instruction and direction from the nurses, whilst having a helpful and team focused approach to making a difference to the environment, and the care provided to the patients under our care.

As a Health Care Assistant, you will be involved in:

- Supporting our nurses and other members of the health care team
- Patient supervision and/or movementatient supervision and/or movement
- Patient cares, as required
- Stock reconciliation
- Asist with clinic preparation - once trained

- Experience working with people in a caring capacity is also essential, whether that experience is gained from within a professional environment, or from caring for children or family members/whanau
- Relates well to all kinds of people, has good interpersonal people skills
- Builds appropriate report, build constructive and effective relationships
- Has sound computer knowledge
- Can marshal resources
- Is organized, punctual, a problem solver
- Interested in the organization
