In our critical care setting, the Pacific Health Navigator will focus on Pacific patients who are admitted to the Critical Care Complex at Middlemore Hospital

This role will work alongside the wider Planned care - Pacific and Fanau Ola, Pacific Health team.

The Pacific Navigator position is responsible for proactively providing culturally appropriate and expert engagement to support the achievement of patient and family (aiga, kaiga, magafaoa, kopu tagata, vuvale, famili) directed goals.

The role requires advanced cultural knowledge and the ability to work actively in partnership with nursing, allied health, medical staff, and other support staff in the Critical Care Complex to ensure safe patient and whaanau centred care is delivered in line with the values of Te Whatu Ora, Counties Manukau.
