Resident Automation Engineer

**E80 Group** is specialized in the **development of automated and integrated intralogistics solutions** for manufacturers of consumer goods operating in the **beverage, food, tissue** and other sectors. Thanks to innovative technologies and a thorough understanding of the customers' logistic processes, the company anticipated the concept of **Industry 4.0**: the Smart Factory, sustainable, interconnected and safe.
The main systems produced by E80 Group include palletizing robots, a wide range of laser guided vehicles, high speed robotic stretch wrappers, pallet control systems, robotic labelers, layer picking and repacking solutions, and automated high-density warehouses. **The entire logistics flow is centrally managed by the SM.I.LE80** software platform (Smart Integrated Logistics), the "orchestra conductor" that ensures the efficient integration of the systems, guaranteeing the optimal management of all operations, from the entry of raw materials to storage right through to shipping.
To date, E80 Group has built around **400 integrated factories** in different parts of the world, installing more than** 2700 robotic systems**, more than **7000 laser-guided automatic vehicles **and, from 2016, **50 high-density automatic warehouses.**

**Position**:
The **Resident Automation Engineer **works in the Customer Service Operations department which in the E80 Group is responsible for all operational activities concerning after-sales services. This position guarantees good operation of the E80 system installed on the customer’s premises, thus providing direct daily management and operational support for the headquarters through the responsibilities listed below:
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure the proper operation of the plant, including compliance with any KPIs and contractual performances;
- Ensure the efficiency on the equipments through inspections and maintenances on interval basis or failures;
- Perform corrective maintenance and troubleshooting activities on the equipments to ensure the above;
- Perform preventive maintenance activities in accordance with the maintenance plans;
- Report to Customer and E80 performed activities and system performances;
- Build up a strong relation between Customer and E80, based on trust, daily commitment, technical results, reliability of the equipments;
- Assisted by the direct manager, represent the interface between the various corporate entities for problem solving, organization of on-site and remote operations, supply and delivery of spare parts, offers;
- Taking part in periodical meetings with customer referrals;
- Report to E80 any problems or anomalies encountered and to be promoter of possible solutions and corrective activities;
- Perform periodic trainings on-the-job to the customer's personnel;
- Co-supervised by direct manager, monitor and analyze flows and performances of the system in his complex, in order to identify new opportunities or upgrades and to promote a continuous improvement process;
- Co-supervised with direct manager organize, manage and update any security documentation required by the customer;
- Organize and manage of the maintenance area, tools and equipment made available from E80 and/or the Customer;
- Manage spare parts available onsite, suggesting reorder points and purchases as needed;
**Requirements**:
**Technical Requirements**
- Technical Diploma in electromechanical field or industrial automation;
- Past and proven experience gained in the role as electromechanical or transfer technician, electrician or automation engineer in structured companies operating in the automation or plant sector;
- Good / excellent reading and understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical drawings;
- Knowledge, even basic, of Siemens plc, Beckhoff, Fanuc, Allen Bradley, Rockwell will be considered a plus.
**Communication/Soft skills requirements**:
- Will to make the difference and daily represent E80 in front of the Customer;
- Excellent communicative and empathic skills, intuition and strong autonomy;
- Dynamism and outstanding skills of problem solving;
- Strong critical sense and curiosity in learning new technologies and managerial aspects;
- Stress resistance and good propensity to work under pressure;
**Languages**:
- Good / excellent English or Italian, both spoken and written;
**Others**:
- Available for training related travel to E80 headquarter or other plants;
- Car driving license valid in the territory of interest.
